The new Stimulus Bill provides homeowners with a credit of 30% of the cost of qualifying energy efficient upgrades, up to a maximum of $1500.00, placed in service in 2009-2010. The tax credit specifications for windows, doors, and skylights are U-factor .30 or less and SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient) of .30 or less.
